Welcome FCS Educators

Welcome to my first attempt at creating a resource rich blog for Family & Consumer Science Educators. Please feel free to share resources that would help our fellow FCS educators extend and enhace their programs. Classroom success stories are always welcome on this site.

Yeah! You did it. AND I did it back!
We are certainly on our techno-journey! Good work! Now to figure out how to best use this tool with a class, a professional learning community, a specific group focus....hummmmm! Let's keep working on this.

Send your invitation to Margie and
Jane and we can have two active blogs going.

Ok, so my test worked both times. I have two different accounts and passwords for blogs. I didn't mean to do this which is why I needed to do the test. I guess I figured it out. Problem solving about blogging. All this sign in stuff gets confusing. I guess it is the new language

Here we are, a group of professionals, taking baby steps to learn this 'new' technology that our children and students can use with the blink of an eye!
One of my favorite FCS resources on the internet is MyPyramid.gov. From there you can locate excellent resources for yourself and your students! Try several of the links to activities and resources and you won't be disappointed with the quality of the materials. The site is excellent for everyone seeking information about diet and fitness. Access the site at www.MyPyramid.gov.

We have learned a few things so far...blogging takes a little time to: get the hang of it, remember your password, and leave comments! Let's keep in mind that the potential of using this will be valuable!!!
